The Joys of Spring...

This is a picture overload but I haven't posted for a while so I have to catch up. First of all for Spring Break we were supposed to go to Chicago and go to the Shedd Aquarium. We had it allllll planned out...we were so excited. WELL, of course we didn't get to go because Chicago was supposed to get up to 9 inches of snow. Beau and I didn't really want to deal with that over our Spring Break so our little trip was canceled.
To be honest we had such a fun time just being together as a family even though we didn't get to go. Instead we went to Des Moines and ate at the Cheesecake Factory for the first time EVER! All I can say is HEAVEN! MMMMMMMM...That is now both mine and Beau's FAVORITE restraunt. The kids I think were just extremely happy to get out of the house. Poor little Tilly had just gotten over a high fever and Tucker was sick and tired of being cooped up. After that we just hung out enjoying eachothers company. HAHA..okay by the end of the week we were ready to get back into our routine but it was still a fun time for us.

We colored Easter Eggs and got ready for the Easter Bunny to come and visit. Tucker and Tilly had soooo much fun coloring eggs...and slamming them into the dye..and then cracking them. Oh well it was so much fun. Tilly wanted to take one to bed because it was her baby she said. Man did she have a fit when Beau took her upstairs to bed. HAHA.

Well Easter Day here was uhhh...cold. SO that made getting into our Easter attire not so enjoyable. We did it though..hahaha...that's right sandals and all. Come rain or shine or just really cold weather on Easter day we will wear our sandals and summer dresses. Tucker loved to look at himself in the mirror with his little suit on and Tilly thought she was Cinderella. LOVED IT! Afterwards we went and had dinner with some fabulous friends. I posted a picture of my Lush Pineapple Cake. YUMMMY! We Pretty much had an all around fabulous Spring Break and Easter! We sure did miss our family though.

p.s. I am doing alot of experimenting w/ Photoshop so I know some of the pics are a bit...hmmm..odd looking but I'm learning.

Bedtime Stories...

So every night as a family we read two books from the library. The kids love it! Tonight we read "Walter the Farting Dog". All I can say is HILLARIOUS! As I was reading it and laughing through it, Beau and the kids were laughing hysterically It was hillarious! Granted it was about a farting dog but it was freakin HILLARIOUS! If you can laugh at this kind of stuff than I totally recommend it for a good laugh. This is going to be a family favorite!

PEEKABOO...

So here are the ultrasound pictures of our little guy. I'm going to have to say it was such a fun ultrasound. When Beau and I went to Tucker and Tilly's ultrasounds we would get so excited to see them move an arm or leg. BUT THIS LITTLE GUY...holy cow you would've thought that I had downed like 5 cups of coffee. He honestly did not stop moving. We were in there for 30 min or more. They couldn't get the measurements because he wouldn't stay still long enough. It was sooo FUN! I can't wait to meet this little man. Tucker and Tilly are so excited for the baby. Tucker is starting to understand and catch on to the fact that he is going to have a little "br-uh-der". A funny story is that a few days before I found out I was pregnant Tucker was sitting at the table with his head in his hands and let out this HUGE sigh. I asked him what was wrong. Tucker said "Mom, when is my br-uh-der going to get here?" I laughed at him and told him I didn't know he had a brother. He looked up at me with a very serious look and told me "yes mom, my bruhder Max." (we are not naming him Max). He frequently brings "max" up in conversation. Tilly, doesn't really get that I am going to have a baby. I think she just thinks that my belly is a baby right now and always wants to kiss it. Even in church. I know that these two are going to love this little guy so much and I am so excited to have him join us finally. I know Beau is really excited as well. He's going to have his two boys. All Red Sox fans! This is such an exciting time for our family. Having Tucker and Tilly here to join in on the excitement is what makes it that much more exciting for both Beau and myself.
That was a bit long but oh well...they are memories right!

What we've been up to...

So I wanted to put my ultrasound pictures up but I will do that tomorrow. (I feel like Scarlett O'Hara whenever I say "I'll think about it later" or "I'll do it tomorrow.") So for now here are some pictures of what we've been doing during these awesome February days here in Iowa.

Okay so we really don't frequent McDonald's (or as the kids say..Mic-n-Donalds), but when I need to get out and I don't want my house dirty because I've just cleaned it...this is where we go. Actually it is here or Chic-fil-a. Uh yeah and I don't usually eat anything at McDonalds because the smell of it makes me sick right now. The kids love it here...I think they mainly just love getting a toy w/ their meal. I just wish they would put a play area in this stinkin place. OHHHH I would be in heaven. hahahaha...sad I know.

I don't know if it is just because of this pregnancy or what but I have been obsessed with bathing my kids. If they have the faintest smell to them that I don't like then they get a bath. If Tilly has a poop diaper I usually stick her in to wash her off because I feel like I can still smell it. SOOOO...they usually have no complaints and have been spending alot of time in the tub. Tucker told me once that it was their swimming pool. You see they've been asking me for the past couple of weeks if they can go swimming at the swim place (N.L. swim park). OH HOW I WISH I could take them..but no this weather.

And last but not least a little something for myself. Yes, lately I have been craving these. It didn't help seeing them at Jen's house when she was designing my blog for me. SO THIS IS FOR ALL OF YOU....Jen Chandler the lovely lady herself is the one who do such an amazing job with my blog design. I went over to watch and show her what I wanted and this is how it went...
JC: Okay so what do you want?
SR: uhhhhh...hmmmm...uhhhh
JC: Okay what about this...
SR: uhhh...hmmmm...uhhh
JC: What do you think about these colors?
SR: yeah, sure, okay.
JC: Ya know what I will suprise you and do it for you.
SR: OKAY! (Thinking to myself the whole time YES YES YES YES! hahaha)

OKay the conversation didn't go exactly like that but close. haha No really though thank you jen!
OKay back to my STRAWBERRIES! I made some chocolate covered strawberries and MMMMMMMM they are good. I must say since the begining of Feb I started being creative and trying new things w/ meals and I even made homemade wheat bread. WOW I know. What can I say I've got to keep myself busy somehow right.

Such Exciting News...

I am one of the happiest mom's on the planet right now. Our little bug is strong and healthy and a BOY! I would have been happy with a boy or a girl but to know now that I am having another sweet little bug! Ohhh the joy. I am so excited. I was wanting to scan my ultrasound pictures and post the announcement with those but I can't seem to figure out my scanner. So I will do another post with those pictures but for now I just wanted to announce that I am having a boy. I will write more about the fun ultrasound with the pictures I post later.
p.s. I just have to say I made that announcement in photoshop just playing around. I'm really proud of it because it is my first real project. I KNOW IT IS VERY EASY AND SIMPLE FOR MOST...but for me...a HUGE accomplishment. haha
